Provincial Resources
HealthLink BC
The HealthLink BC Directory (
www.healthlinkbc.ca
) is a resource available to British Columbians which provides detailed information about how, and where, to find health services in B.C. It contains directory information about health, mental health, and addictions treatment services in B.C., including the organizations that offer the services and the locations where they are offered. The 8-1-1 service in British Columbia is a health information phone line operated by HealthLink BC, which is a part of the Ministry of Health. By calling 8-1-1 you can speak to a health services representative, who can connect you with a registered nurse, registered dietitian, or a pharmacist. They will help you get the information you need to manage your health concerns or those of your family.
Seniors Abuse & Information Line (SAIL)
SAIL is a safe place for older adults, and those who care about them, to talk to someone about situations where they feel they are being abused or mistreated, or to receive information about elder abuse prevention.
